ROBERT - “ROB”

Rob started the business in 2005. Rob has been involved with grass for over 40 years, from golf courses to turf farms. Rob loves to be in or on the water and is perfecting the technique of falling off his new foil board.
RODNEY - “ROD / JACKO”
Rod is our manager when Rob is not about. Yes, Rob & Rod - it gets confusing! Rod’s a local fella and has been in the area all his life. He’s been with us for over 15 years and knows good grass when he sees it. Rodney loves to play golf, just don’t ask if he plays well.
PETER - “PETE”
Pete is usually found in our high-tech harvester and operates it with skill and precision. Pete has been in the turf industry for well over 30 years. He’s a local lad and loves his touch footy.
AARON - “AZ”
Aaron is the newest member to BTF. He is our transport and logistic specialist. He has 20+ years’ experience in the transport industry. Az loves his cars, he’s a Ford man through and through so don’t mention Holden.
SHARON - “SHAZ”
Shaz does little bits of everything. Sometimes she’s in the office, sometimes she’s answering the phone and sometimes she’s on a mower! Shaz loves to laugh and often adds noise to the smoko room. She loves the ocean and in particular tickling turtles’ tummies.

You can lay turf at any time of year as we are in a semi tropical climate. The most important factor is preparation and watering your new lawn.

We can supply and deliver the turf to you. We have several contractors we can recommend to lay the turf for you. No job is too big or small.
- How thick is the turf and what size are the slabs?
It really depends on the type of turf. The size of our slabs is approx. 1220mm x 610mm. It’s best to measure your area and supply us the square meterage.
- How do I prepare my area?
Preparation is key. A good quality topsoil approx. 30mm deep will give your new turf a great start. Refer to our installation guide.
- How long should I water my new turf?
Completely soak your turf once installed. Watering your turf every day until the root system has established. Refer to our installation guide.
